This specification describes the minimum technical requirements for the design, engineering, manufacture, testing, supply and delivery of accessories used with overhead distribution line. These accessories include: mid-span compression joint, parallel grove clamp and top tie. This required accessories shall be compatible with bare conductors that carry electrical power up to 24 kV. The required accessories shall be suitable for use in outdoor installations of the Egyptian Electricity Distribution Companies (EDCs).
EDMS 18-301-1 SPECIFICATION FOR Low voltage insulation fittings تحميل
This specification is applicable to the different insulation fittings designed for low
voltage insulated conductors (up to 1 KV/AC) for main and branch distribution networks.
● This standard specification specifies the main characteristics of the insulating fittings and
the tests they shall comply with according to NFC-33.
● The insulating fittings comprise the following :
- Suspension clamps.
- Insulated piercing clamps.
- Dead end clamps "Anchoring Device".
- Pre-insulated junction sleeves.
- Service dead – end clamps (clamp comprises)…….. (option).
● Unless Otherwise specified, it should be according to IEC60998/NFC-33.
